Primary Server CPU Failure

This bulletin details an Issue which has been resolved, and is kept for archival purposes only

During our Investigations which were triggered by last week's events, we've narrowed down to a faulty CPU in our Primary Server which has lead to eratic behaviour with our other Systems.
The Systems Team shutdown the Primary Server and replaced this with a new server which is delivering significantly improved performance. Backup Systems were in-place and operational to reduce the impact and ensure services weren't disrupted.
The newer Primary Server was installed at 11:34pm on the 4/4/11 and all services returned to normal by 12:00am
We're continuing the investigation to check for other issues, however overnight services were stable with no signs of further issues - our new backup storage systems and servers are on order.
